THE $DAN CONSTITUTION

Preamble We, the community of $DAN, establish this Constitution to govern our decentralized project on the Radix blockchain. Guided by the principles of honesty, transparency, and community-centric thinking, we aim to foster an equitable, sustainable, and innovative environment that empowers all stakeholders.
ARTICLE I: NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1: The official name of this document is the $DAN Constitution.
Section 2: The $DAN project is a community-governed crypto initiative on the Radix blockchain. Its purpose is to enhance the value of $DAN tokens, deliver returns to stakeholders, and leverage collective feedback to guide the projectβs development and promotion.
ARTICLE II: THE $DAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Section 1: Composition The governing body of the $DAN project shall be the $DAN Community Council (hereafter referred to as "the Council").
Section 2: Qualifications To qualify for Council membership, candidates must:
Hold a minimum of 100 million $DAN tokens staked for no less than 12 months prior to nomination.
Adhere to the principles of honesty, transparency, and community-first decision-making.
Section 3: Responsibilities The Council shall:
Manage the $DAN Investment Fund to ensure sustainable growth and equitable distribution of resources.
Facilitate payouts to staked holders every three months.
Actively incorporate community feedback into decisions regarding the projectβs direction.
Promote $DAN through strategic partnerships, marketing initiatives, and advocacy.
Prioritize the needs and interests of the $DAN community above all else.
Section 4: Term Limits
Council members shall serve terms of six (6) months.
Members may be reelected but may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
Section 5: Election Process
Community members who meet the qualifications may be nominated by their peers.
Elections shall be held one month prior to the start of the next term.
Section 6: Leadership
The Council shall elect a Chairman from its members.
The Chairman shall:
Lead bi-weekly meetings of the Council.
Act as the custodian of the $DAN Investment Fund until multi-signature wallets are implemented.
Section 7: Accountability
Council members may be removed from their position if they are found to be failing in their responsibilities.
Removal requires a majority vote of the $DAN community.
ARTICLE III: THE $DAN COMMUNITY
Section 1: The $DAN community is the cornerstone of the project. Its input and participation are integral to the project's success.
Section 2: Community members have the right to:
Nominate and vote for Council members.
Propose amendments to this Constitution.
Participate in governance decisions through transparent and equitable mechanisms.
ARTICLE IV: AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
Section 1: This Constitution may be amended if a majority of the $DAN community votes in favor of a proposed change.
Section 2: Proposed amendments must be:
Publicly announced and deliberated for no less than 30 days before voting.
Consistent with the principles of honesty, transparency, and community-centric thinking.
ARTICLE V: CORE PRINCIPLES
The $DAN project shall uphold the following ideals at all times:
Honesty: All decisions and actions must be conducted with integrity.
Transparency: Information and processes must be open and accessible to the community.
Community-Centric Thinking: Every initiative must prioritize the welfare and input of the $DAN community.
By ratifying this Constitution, we, the $DAN community, commit to its principles and pledge to work collaboratively toward the sustained success of the project.
